| Half the fun is getting there, we ran
into Denny and Joe in Eureka |
Ah yes dinner in the rail yard |
Wendy thinks she hears a train coming |
 |
 |
 |
| Who brought the donuts? |
The few, the brave, the crazy |
figuring out how to pack the camping
gear on a motorcar, was a challenge. Stopping in time to not run over
the tent that fell off the car in front of you was more of a challenge. |

| The only piece of curved track for 127
miles. |
Typical view |
Cherry creeks station used to be here,
they moved the building to Ely, all they left behind was this
porta-potty. |
 |
 |
 |
| Denny says next year we all get to stay
here at the Curry station hotel, I can hardly wait, room rates ought to
be reasonable. |
the Curry station station |
I sure am glad they put this sign up,
otherwise I would not have known we were there. |

 |
 |
| This was taken from our tent, camping a
few 100 feet from the UP main line was exciting |
Tied up for the night |
Master Chief Chris Baldo , directs the
dinner prep crew. |
 |
 |
 |
| Good nite all |
The morning coffee is on |
Chris sacrifices his arm hair to the
fire as he tends the potatoes. |

 |
| Chuck leads another sing along |
Chuck and Pinkie (our new car) |
Rod and his new car, well it was
new a year ago, this is his first run with it. |
 |
The fate of this 127 miles of track is up in
the air at the moment, it belongs to the Los Angeles power and light. It
is in very bad condition due to the running of heavy cars on the 60
pound rail. As a result you get an E ticket ride on your speeder.
With any luck the Nevada museum in Ely will get the track and
maintain it. |
|
| Rob in his cheese box, looks a little
crowded in there. |
